Our film will be screened in Parliament
On 14 October, The Medical Mesh Scandal Ruining Women's Lives will be screened in the UK Parliament, bringing the women at its heart, and the questions it raises, to the people with the power to act.
The film follows Kath Sansom of Sling the Mesh and women living with the consequences of mesh slings they were told were safe. It hears from urogynaecologist Dr Wael Agur and Professor Carl Heneghan of Oxford's Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine.
More than two years after the Patient Safety Commissioner recommended a redress scheme for women harmed by mesh, they are still waiting. We hope this screening helps move that conversation forward.
The screening is by invitation.
